For home charging, the “OLEV Grant” refers to a grant for electric car home chargers, provided by the Office for low emission vehicles or OLEV. This Grant is named the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and is a 75% contribution towards the cost of one chargepoint and its installation up to a maximum of £350 (including VAT) per household/ eligible vehicle from 1st April 2020 . Does your vehicle qualify for the grant?
Not all plug-in vehicles are eligible for the OLEV EVHS grant. . The OLEV website has a list that is updated of all eligible vehicles here
Do you qualify for the grant ?
You need to have leased an eligible electric vehicle for minimum of six months, or have purchased one on or after 1st October 2016 onwards.
- The date of installation must not be more than 4 months ahead of the date of delivery or date the customer becomes the registered keeper/nominated user/lessee of the electric vehicle.
- You must have designated private off-street parking with good access for an eligible vehicle to be charged safely
- The chargepoint must be OLEV approved (we only supply these)
- You have not exceeded the limit of 2 OLEV grant funded chargepoints per household
