For home charging, the “OZEV Grant” refers to a grant for electric car home chargers, provided by the Office for zero emission vehicles or OZEV. This Grant is named the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) and is a 75% contribution towards the cost of one chargepoint and its installation up to a maximum of £350 (including VAT) per household/ eligible vehicle from 1st April 2020 . CPJ Electrics ,with your authorisation, and assistance can apply for this Grant on your behalf. This grant for domestic properties is being withdrawn March 2022. As of April 1st 2022, the OZEV grant changes will no longer include homeowners as eligible applicants for funding. Instead, a new set of criteria will come into effect that enable landlords, apartment block owners and social housing providers to claim an EVHS grant.

Does your vehicle qualify for the grant?

Not all plug-in vehicles are eligible for the OZEV EVHS grant. . The OZEV website has a list that is updated of all eligible vehicles here

Do you qualify for the grant ?

You need to have leased an eligible electric vehicle for minimum of six months, or have purchased one on or after 1st October 2016 onwards.

  • You cannot be the home owner of the property
  • You must have designated private off-street parking with good access for an eligible vehicle to be charged safely
  • The chargepoint must be OZEV approved (we only supply these)
  • You have not exceeded the limit of 2 OZEV grant funded chargepoints per household
